Haven’t you heard? 50 is the new 20! Either these celebrities here have all drank from the Fountain of Youth, or they have some age-defence secrets they aren’t telling us. Whatever it is, we want whatever they’re having please!
There are many ways to make ourselves look young. The lucky ones among us have it all in their genes (like the dishy 50-year-old model-photographer Chuando who recently made waves globally because of his 20-ish looks). As for the rest of us, we either rely on good skincare, the right treatments and masterly makeup skills in our bid to trick others into thinking we’re forever 18 - okay maybe we’re stretching it a little too much here - well, fine, 21 then. Speaking of looking younger than one’s real age, we can’t help but turn to the following Asian celebrities who seem to have no visible wrinkles in sight (how lucky). Wanna look forever youthful too? Scroll through the gallery to pick up a tip or two. Being a full-time mum means that Yvonne is always busy with taking care of her two kids — AJ and Alexa. And if you’ve taken care of children before, you’ll know how tiring it can be. But somehow, Yvonne’s skin shows no signs of tiredness. She revealed that her must-have these days are these daily supplements (pictured). Photo: Yvonne Lim / Instagram Need proof that working out is crucial in keeping you healthy and youthful? Just turn to local actor and fitness coach Randall who keeps himself fit by hitting the gym. He also regularly shares his training progress on his Instagram, inspiring his followers to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The hunky daddy-to-be is also expecting his first-born with Melody Chen who recently announced that she’s pregnant with twins. Photo: Randall Tan / Instagram Looking through Jacelyn’s Instagram, we can’t help but feel envious of her frizz-free locks and creaseless mien. How does she do it? The actress and entrepreneur revealed in one of her Instagram posts that her secret to an ageless complexion is to “start young. If you begin your beauty regime [in your] 20s...you may still look like [you’re in your] late 20s while your peers look 40s or older!” So ladies (and gentlemen), what are you still waiting for? Start taking good care of your skin right about now! Photo: Jacelyn Tay / Instagram In this day and age when Instagram photos are overloaded with multiple filters to mask our ‘flaws’, we wanna say kudos to Anita for going au natural and #BareFace in most of her photos. And we must admit: she looks absolutely fabulous. Don’t we all wish that we can age as gracefully as her? Photo: Anita Yuen / Instagram Of course we have to talk about Anita’s hubby Julian (aka Captain Koo or Cool, whichever you like) too. Just like Leon, Julian here is blessed with a baby face. But we think it’s also the use of the right beauty products that has helped him keep his looks in check. Oh, no wonder Fancl has called upon him to be its first male celebrity ambassador! Photo: Julian Cheung / Instagram Mention stylish female stars and Carina is likely one of the names that will constantly come to mind. But it's not just her wardrobe that we're keen to raid; we wanna know all the beauty products and treatments that she's in love with too. That's because the glamorous actress may be 51 years old this year but with almost zero visible lines on her face, it’s really hard to tell her age. Photo: Carina Lau / Instagram You may have heard of this old adage before: “Men are like wine — some turn to vinegar, but the best improve with age.” Local actor Thomas Ong definitely belongs to the latter. His boy-next-door look has charmed us when he was in his 20s (in memorable TV drama series such as Wild Orchids and The Unbroken Cycle) and now, we still get the same warm and fuzzy feeling inside when we check out his Instagram photos. Photo: Thomas Ong / Instagram The key to looking as young as Cynthia is to lead an active lifestyle. The 43-year-old actress regularly posts gym selfies onto her Instagram account. Despite her busy schedule, she still manages to squeeze in a workout or two to keep her body fit. But if you really have no time or you’re too tired to head to the gym, why not try out these easy-to-do home exercises to get in shape. Photo: Cynthia Koh / Instagram We recently got up close and personal with beloved Taiwanese celebrity host Pauline when she was in town to film Lady First Singapore and boy, she doesn’t look like she’s in her 50s. Her secret? She counts on this particular product from Taiwanese skincare brand Naruko. Photo: Pauline Lan / Facebook From what we’ve gathered from her Instagram photos, the trick to looking as beautiful as doe-eyed Taiwanese beauty Chi-ling (or more affectionately known as Chi-ling jie jie aka Sister Chi-ling in Taiwan) is to go for the ‘natural’ makeup look. This means saying no to bold lippies or eye makeup. Instead, go for a simple cat eye and soft nude lips to exude the girl-next-door look. Photo: Lin Chi-ling / Instagram Besides taking good care of our skin and body, what else can we do to look young? Wear something adorable of course! Just look at new mum Ruby who’s spotted in a off-duty look featuring a Hello Kitty top and denim shorts. If you’re inspired to get an equally adorable outfit, click here now. Photo: Ruby Lin / Facebook Cantopop singer Vivian was in Singapore several years ago and of course we had to get up close with the Hong Kong-born beauty to learn more about her skincare tips and tricks. When it comes to food, we’ve learned that her secret to all that radiance is by “maintaining an even-keeled heart and spirit.” Find out more here. Photo: Vivian Chow / Instagram Our famous Ah Jie has long been admired for her porcelain skin (psst... she spills her skincare secrets here). Even without makeup, the 46-year-old actress — who’s busy filming a 2018 drama with her hubby and hot dad Christopher Lee now — looks as radiant as ever. Photo: Fann Wong / Instagram Story From Leon’s Instagram, it easy to see that ageing hasn’t left a single mark on him (how lucky!). And even though we’re seeing lesser of Leon on televisions, there’s no need to worry. The baby-faced yummy daddy and actor — who made a cameo appearance in 2016 local film Lulu The Movie by Michelle Chong — still regularly updates his social media with sweet selfies of him and his 2-year-old daughter Harper. Now you know where to look out for him... Photo: Leon Jay Williams / Facebook
