When Burberry had first previewed its Burberry Prorsum Spring Summer 2015 line in London on September 15, 2014, all eyes were drawn to the really candy cute shades and the pastel sweet bags that the models were toting.

Titled “The Birds and the Bees”, this collection is as vibrant as it sounds. Besides the quite literal floral and butterfly graphics hand-drawn onto the trenchcoats, this line also took cues from the vivid colours of flowering plants and the insect kingdom.

More subtle takes on the theme involved sequins and paillettes that were layered like iridescent beetle wings and honeycomb, while frothy layers of tulle tied as bows drew visual reference from the fragile wings of dragonflies.

The British luxury brand also swapped heels in lieu of colourful sneakers and strappy pool sliders; it sure looks like that sporty footwear trend isn’t going away anytime soon.

But yes, back to accessories that we were talking about. One of the stand-outs include the “Mini Bee” bag, a petite find that features vibrantly hand-painted leather, matched with contrasting glossy patent leather trims. The “Bee” bag is the roomier alternative, for those who just need more than a petite little bag for their everyday essentials.

Who wouldn’t like a bit of that modern princessy-feel for their outfit? You don’t even have to wear a trailing train to achieve it; the many frothy layers of tulle on this Burberry midi skirt will easily add that fairytale touch to your look.

3. The pastel-cute “bee” bags
Lucky model and front row-er Cara Delevingne already has one (albeit in darker hues) stamped with her name on it; you’ll soon be able to get your hands on it too, when the Spring Summer 2015 collection is available in stores in early 2015.
