Before mobile phones got smarter, cementing your friendship between your gal pals wasn’t as easy as swapping numbers. In fact, it took quite a lot of skill – fishtail braiding a variety of coloured threads kind of skill. Frequently made during school camps, some girls wore it throughout their formative years and well into their adulthood but for those who want to revive this trend with a more mature edge, Dior has the answer.

Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s take on the friendship bracelet might seem naively simple at first glance but if you look closer, each of the bracelets (and there are eight) feature an intriciate Native American inspired weave with the brand’s name embroidered in black thread. Coupled with a drawstring that allows you to adjust its size, you can now have matching bracelets with a girlfriend or two, or even eight if your social circle allows.

Priced at $360 for a set of two. Available at all Dior boutiques.
