2016 marks the 21st anniversary of the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, and the US lingerie giant spared absolutely no expense in making it the most over the top and entertaining fashion event yet. For the first time, they brought the show to the Grand Palais in Paris, a venue that is regularly reserved for Chanel’s fashion shows.
More than 50 of the world’s top models took to the coveted runway to celebrate the best of lingerie, joined by spectacular performances from Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd. The looks were as elaborate as ever and ran the gamut from newcomer Bella Hadid’s bedazzled feathered bodysuit, to Jasmine Tookes debuting the larger-than-life fantasy bra that cost more than $3 million to create.
My favourite part of the Victoria’s Secret fashion show this year? There was a record-breaking number of Asian models on the runway! Liu Wen, Sui He, Ju Xiaowen and Xi Mengyao were the four “anointed” ones, and I hope to see more of them the next time. #AsianPride.

This young stunner nailed her Victoria’s Secret’s catwalk debut effortlessly. She was also super cool about the run-in with her ex-boyfriend The Weeknd on stage!
She looked straight into her ex’s eyes and give him a little pat at the waist while showcasing her sexy body in a figure-hugging sheer mesh corset.

Last year, Aldridge had the honour of showing off the ostentatious fantasy bra adorned with fireworks.
Her ensemble might be more subdued this year, but took nothing away from this American beauty. She still looks absolutely stunning.

My favourite model of all time is finally back after a four-year hiatus from the show.
Fun fact: She was the first Asian model to ever walk the Victoria’s Secret runway.
Only a legend like her could rock this red and raunchy number in such a sassy yet sophisticated manner.

It’s no surprise that the reality TV and social media darling was invited back again to the show after her excellent debut last year.
Dressed in a black-and-white get-up consisting of a white strapless lace bra, matching barely-there panties and black feathered angel wings, she strutted down the runway looking absolutely divine.

Gigi Hadid’s ensemble is one hot mess, what with all the black lace and tons of body skimming straps.
While it might look sexy, Gigi actually suffered a wardrobe malfunction while strutting on the runway! One of the straps gave way and flailed around during the rest of her time in the outfit.
But with her experience working for some of the biggest fashion houses around, the consummate professional was still able to slay her walk.

Sexiness doesn’t always have to come from black lace and leather, as shown here by Donaldson in this shimmery pink number.
She skillfully worked her “smize” as she sashayed down the runway. It was an absolute joy to watch.

This dragon-inspired lingerie set might not be conventionally sexy, but we can’t help but fall in love with the way Hosk owned the legendary fire-spewing creature that was coiled around her svelte body.
It must have been really heavy, but her strut was still as powerful as ever.

The Brazilian-born veteran Angel walked the show for the 17th time this year, earning her the distinction of becoming the longest-running Angel in Victoria’s Secret history!
The way she took control of the runway was rivaled by no other. She knew exactly how to show off her beautiful body while having fun with Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, and Bruno Mars during their performances.

Of course, I’ve saved the best for the last. Ambrosio started her VS journey in 2000 and has been a recurring staple in their shows ever since.
This year, she played the role of a Dark Angel, strutting down the runway in an all-black ensemble, which showed off her ample cleavage and enviably taut torso to perfection.
How can any woman look so ridiculously and effortlessly sexy?! I am in awe.
