Diane von Furstenberg likes lasting styleDiane von Furstenberg owns wrap dresses which are 35 years old.

The designer is famed for creating the style of frock, which suits virtually all body types. She’s now shot a short film from inside her own closet, which is full of various types of the creation.

“I am Diane von Furstenberg and this is my archive of my personal DVF wrap dress,” she says. “These are all wrap dresses. Some are 30 years old, some are 35 years old, some are five years old and some are now.”

The designer has shot footage for a new project with French documentary filmmaker Loïc Prigent. The pair are creating 12 promos which aim to delve into the life of Diane.

The promos will air online and are called Zero Filter, in honour of Diane’s love of saying whatever she feels like.

They will be included on the star’s Facebook page, where one can already be found. In it, Diane discuses inner confidence and the importance of sound self-esteem.

Fashionista.com has posted the footage of Diane in her closet, where she also discusses why her iconic dress has continued to be so successful.

“Somehow this miracle little dress never ever stopped to flatter women at the beginning of their life. They allow you to be the woman you want to be,” she says. ©COVER MEDIA
