#1 Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush, $39
Available from Sephora
Don’t be scared of how bright the Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush looks in the pan. This silky smooth blusher goes on very lightly, so this Bittersweet shade looks a lot more like a natural pink-purple tint on the skin. If you prefer a little bit of a highlighting shimmer and a beach-babe glow, try Score instead.
#2 Majolica Majorca Blood On 10, $17.90
Available from Watsons stores from July
This cream colour works both on the lips and cheeks. Just apply a little of the Majolica Majorca Blood On on the apples of the cheeks for a healthy, post-workout flush.
#3 Burberry Lip & Cheek Bloom, $54
Available at the Burberry beauty counter in Tangs Orchard
If you prefer a more velvety matte finish, then try Burberry’s Lip & Cheek Bloom, which can also be used as a lip colour.
#4 Bourjois Aqua Blush, $21.90
Available at all Bourjois counters from July
Bourjois Aqua Blush has a “gel-sorbet” texture – sounds good enough to eat, really – that melts into your skin. While a full pump of this is said to be enough for both cheeks, we think that you can actually use a lot less, depending on the shade you choose.
#5 Illamasqua Gel Colour, $49
Available at all Illamasqua stores and counters
It’s a wonder why Illamasqua didn’t call this product a cooling gel colour, because it feels refreshingly cool to the touch – perfect for our weather!
#6 Stila Aqua Glow Watercolour Blush, $37
Available at Sephora
True to its name, Stila’s new blusher really looks like water colour on the skin. Apply this watery product with your fingers for a luminous finish.
#7 Nars x Christopher Kane Illuminating Multiple in Violet Atom, $60
Available at all Nars counters
Okay, so you don’t like traditional blushers, but want a little bit more definition and glow. Try Nars x Christopher Kane’s Illuminating Multiple in Violet Atom. It’s a mix of all sorts of holographic, iridescent pigments that aren’t too OTT, but will give an instant pretty glow. Wear this under a sheer foundation or your BB cream if you want a Korean beauty dewy skin-like effect.
#8 Etude House Cushion Blusher, $18
Available at all Etude House stores
The new cushion blushers live up to the same hype as all cushion compacts do – they’re lightweight and so easy to use. Press and stamp the product onto your cheek with the applicator, and if you need more colour, just layer it over.
