Angelina Jolie’s natural waves can be achieved by “pin curling”, says celebrity hair stylist Sinead Kelly.

Angelina is famed for her effortlessly gorgeous tresses, which are often teased into loose curls for red carpet appearances.

Stylist to the stars Sinead – who looks after the locks of Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt – says the style is “taking precedence” this coming season.

She’s offered her top tips on recreating Angelina’s A-list look from home.

“Wash your hair and run a smoothing cream through the ends. Blast dry your hair to 85 per cent dry and begin to pin curl your hair,” she advised in an interview with Cover Media.

Sinead has revealed how to do the curling technique. The beauty pro has given a step-by-step guide on how to achieve the most natural-looking result.

“Wrap two inch sections of hair around your finger to form a curl, remove your finger and pin the curl to your head using hair grips to secure. Begin at the front of the head working your way backwards,” she explained.

“Once all the hair is pinned securely, blast your hair for a couple of minutes with the hairdryer, preferably with the diffuser attachment. Leave to set for approximately one hour, or for a tighter result sleep in them.

“Remove all grips and shake the hair out from the roots, as this will loosen the waves without softening them too much.”

Sinead says finishing the style properly will prolong the curls. She suggests creating a bit of volume before setting the look.

“Back comb your hair around the crown for some height, and then fix with hairspray,” she added. © Cover Media
