“After many years working in the beauty industry, taking care of my face comes to me naturally. However, there is an area that I tend to forget. As I get older, what really stood out from everything else was my skin getting drier all over my body.
In 2018, I want to take better care of my skin and not just the face but my body and legs as well. I would like to take time to use a body lotion and sunscreen every day, and a foot cream every other night.”

“I have officially crossed into my mid-30s, so I really need to up my skincare game. I have always been pretty consistent with my beauty routine, but I think it’s time to use the serious anti-ageing stuff.
No more living in denial and just sticking to hydrating and brightening skincare. I also need to diligently include firming and anti-wrinkle products into my regime, and also do intensive mask treatments more frequently.”

“In the last six months, my hair has gone from brown to blonde to pink to purple to blue. The bleaching and numerous colouring jobs caused my hair to become dry and damaged. In 2018, I want to let my scalp and hair rest a little and recover from these chemical treatments. I also want to keep up my habit of drinking at least two litres of water and to eat cleaner food for good skin, since I don’t use masks very frequently.
Makeup-wise, I want to try bolder looks like bright eyeshadows and lip colours that range from orange to black to discover more wearable looks to recommend to our readers.”

“In 2018, I plan to be more conscientious in making myself look good by dolling up more often. I’m a big fan of natural beauty, so I’ve never felt the need to apply makeup or put in a lot of effort in styling my look. But recently, I’ve realised how much more presentable I appear with a little more makeup. I still love how I look bare-faced, but I’ve come to realise that there is no shame in makeup as well.
It not only helps to lightly enhance my features, but is also a fun way to express my personal style. Being diligent in caring for my appearance in a healthy way motivates me and makes me happy too.”

“I’m already quite dedicated when it comes to my skincare regime. I have an eight-step routine, mask daily and drink a ton of water. But I currently only sleep about four to five hours a night, and I feel like it takes a toll on my complexion. So my New Year’s resolution would be to get at least six hours of sleep every night.
Also, I don’t really put on much makeup (I’ve applied foundation probably only 10 times this year) because I’m more of a skincare junkie, so I want to start trying out more adventurous makeup looks next year.”

“I’m moving soon and I’m bringing with me a ton of skincare and makeup.
So in 2018, I resolve to organise all my beauty products neatly in my new house. Also, I currently only wash my makeup brushes whenever I feel like they’re dirty. So I also want to start cleansing them regularly.”

“I think I’ve been pretty religious with sunscreen this year so my 2018 beauty resolution is to wash my makeup brushes more often and stop picking at my pimples.”

“I embarked on a three-week no-makeup challenge earlier this year and saw the wonders it did for my complexion. My pores were less clogged and my skin was noticeably clearer. During that time, I focused on using products that would hydrate my skin and give it a natural glow.
To be comfortable in your own skin sans any base makeup is pretty liberating, and I hope to keep this up in 2018 with the help of facial oils and my daily masking habit. I encourage everyone to try it – your skin will be so much healthier, plus you end up saving lots of time in the morning!”
