L'Oreal Super Liner V-Sculptor review singapore 2

Last year, L’Oreal Paris introduced a lip product called the Blossom Tint Caresse. The flowery name belies its multi-purpose practicality: It’s a powder-based lip tint that comes with a cushion applicator and can also be used as a blush or eye colour if you want to jump on the monochrome trend. The cushion tip makes it really easy to blend out the pigment, so you could in theory create anything from an ombre lip to a softly diffused flush on the cheeks.

As much as I liked the Blossom Tint Caresse on the lips, most of the shades were a little too bright and pink-based, and I didn’t fancy using the same applicator on my lips and eyes. When it comes to everyday eye makeup, I want something more muted and versatile in terms of colours, which is why when the brand launched their Super Liner V-Sculptors this year, I instantly fell in love.

The cushion tip eyeshadows are housed in pretty much the same packaging as the lip tints. Instead of bright pinks and oranges, there are four gorgeous muted shades that will take you through both day and night makeup looks. Choose from brown, bronze, purple, or black; or you can simply mix and match the shades to create more depth in your eye look. I find that the brown is a great contour colour, and works well with all the other shades.

Indeed, the versatility is what makes it such an impressive product. You can apply the gel-powder pigment close to your lash line and blend it out for a really easy smudged look, or you can use it all over the lids for a wash of colour. My favourite way to use it at the moment is to concentrate the hue on the outer V of the eyelids, and then blending out the edges for a soft daytime look. To transition to something deeper, all you need to do is intensify the colour and sweep some along your lower lash line.

The L’Oreal Paris Super Liner V-Sculptor eyeshadow sticks will be available from February 2017 at Watsons, Guardian, Sasa, and major supermarkets at $18.90 each.
