Call us shallow, but looks matter to us. And this season’s newest batch of designer fragrances smell as good as they look.

Salvatore Ferragamo Amo Ferragamo, $212 for 100ml, $158 for 50ml and $111 for 30ml

The brand’s newest fragrance is said to represent a woman’s carefree and youthful spirit. The top notes are marked by an Italian bitter accord with blackcurrant and rosemary, followed by a blend of jasmine sambac and rhubarb for a whiff of freshness., while the dry down finishes with a woody sweetness. The unique sensuality of Amo Ferragamo stems from its delicate blend of white vanilla tahitensis, ambrox and sandalwood.

Louis Vuitton Le Jour Se Leve, $370 for 100ml and $540 for 200ml

Composed by Louis Vuitton’s master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, this fragrance was inspired by morning’s first rays and the freshness of daybreak, which is why mandarin orange was chosen as one of the key ingredients. “Mandarin is a marvellous citrus fruit because it’s possible to diffuse from it simultaneously the optimism of its flesh, the freshness of the zest and the floral aspect of the tree,” shares the perfumer. To reimagine this freshness, the perfumer chose Jasmine sambac as one of the key notes. A liquid impression of water-laced flowers then envelops the two notes,  followed by the gentle scent of magnolia petals, apricot-tinged osmanthus and a subtly tangy blackcurrant accord. Finally, a chorus of musks close up the citrusy fragrance.

Together, they give you warm fruity-woody fragrance that you just want another bite of.
